Our experience with Four Winds Spas Service has been fantastic.
Please do your research! Buying a four Winds spa has been the worst decision we have made. We purchased one new unit in December. In January the thing sprung a leak. In February, the leak was bad enough that we had to shut it down. The company we bought it from contacted Four Winds and were told they could only send a "preferred" technician. Yeah? Good luck getting him to come out or be the least bit professional when he finally gets around to you. Finally after waiting nearly four months, the tech says that the hot tub is beyond repair!! and some spiel about a factory defect....so Thank you four winds for the several thousand dollar piece of junk!!
Dave in Technical Services has been very patient and thorough as he walked us through several issues (incorrect wiring at installation, damage from rodents on Spa Control Panel Display wires). Our Maui Spa model was purchased new in 2008 and has been extremely reliable in spite of extreme cold (Canadian temperatures, wet climates (Seattle) and Hot temperatures (Gulf Coast Mississippi) as we were relocated to different locations. We highly recommend the quality of their products and their service. We have not had any experiences with their dealer network to provide comment on independent dealer providing services. A. Wagner
Our hot tub is less than 6 months old and has just quit working. Despite being "under warranty" we were told to call a "preferred" repair man to come out and look at it. After calling said repair guy for 3 days straight we had no such luck of contacting him. I reached out to Four Winds regarding the warranty and they washed their hands of me because even though the hot tub IS SIX MONTHS OLD, the previous owner of our home bought it and we are not the original owners, despite us paying more than asking price so the owner would leave the hot tub with the house. We have all the original paperwork and warranty's and have a brand new hot tub that doesn't work. Things go wrong sure, but good companies stand behind their products no matter what. The hot tub, the customer experience, the "warranty" is all a let down. If you are looking for a hot tub and want it to work longer than 6 months, do NOT get a 4 winds.
Four Winds have been amazing. I have owned my hot tub (maui) for 7-8 yrs approx now. Very little issues. Recently I had an issue with my circulation motor cutting out on high speed that was fixed $60 and back working at a motor shop. I did however develope a second issue with no low speed. I contacted David at Four Winds since my hot tub tech couldn't figure it out. Dave walked me through a few things and in a couple days we determined it needed a circuit board. David was professional and patient through the entire process despite me being a little concerned as minus weather was coming in 5 days time that would really cause a lot of issues with freezing. I have had the circuit board installed for over a week now and It's performing like new again. I would buy another Four Winds hot tub without a doubt due to this technical support experience. The product itself has been great and has performed as it should. It's expected that after 7 years that some major parts may start to break down and need replaced or fixed. I can't thank David enough for a job well done, top notch service!!.
